Routine hops only
The player can field a ball rolled at them. A harder hop is a different play.
Infield training in Bellerose, NY covers ground balls, glove work, the transfer, and the throw across the diamond.

Infielders in Queens and Nassau get a lot of warm-up grounders and not many reps when the ball is harder or farther from their start.
A private lesson can stay on that sequence. Glove Work Lab, Wednesday and Thursday at 6 PM, is the small-group option for the glove.
Some players field the easy hop and lose the ball when it is harder. Others get to it and rush the throw.

The ball is fielded in practice. The play is not finished when the game speeds up.

The read is late, or the first step is the wrong one.

What families have shared about training at GrindTime.
Coach Juan is an amazing coach. His way of building these kids up in the game of baseball is by far the best I've seen. His knowledge of the science of baseball is superb along with the other coaches of Grindtime Baseball Academy. As a parent I believe in him and my son does also. Thanks coach... #TRUSTDAPROCESS βΎβΎβΎ πͺπͺπͺ

Infield training is in Bellerose. Defenders come from Queens and Nassau County to work ground balls away from the team drill. The visit covers the glove, the feet, and the throw across the diamond. Glove Work Lab is the small-group option when more than one player is coming.
Brooklyn infielders book the same lessons and the same Glove Work Lab. The coach stays on the play that broke down, instead of moving on with the rest of the team. Say the position and the miss before you book. The hour follows that.
Name the defensive skill, then book the hour that matches it.
