A slow start to first
The contact is fine. The first steps out of the box give the play away.
Baseball speed and agility training in Bellerose, NY works the first steps, acceleration, and changes of direction a baseball play actually uses.

Most baseball plays never become a full sprint. Players from Bellerose, Queens, and Nassau County need a quick start, balance moving sideways, and a stop they can control.
Speed Lab is the small-group session for that work. It is Wednesday at 5 PM. Adonis Cepeda runs it, with up to 10 athletes.
A player can see the ground ball and still get there late. Another can barrel the ball and lose the first steps to first base.

Conditioning laps do not teach the first step out of the box or the stop-and-go on defense.
The contact is fine. The first steps out of the box give the play away.
The path is clear. The feet do not cover it in time.
Defense asks for shuffles and crossovers. Falling off the line costs the play.
Stopping and redirecting is its own skill. It does not show up in a lap around the field.
Speed training supports the rest of the game. These are the other Bellerose pages families book.
Speed Lab is one of five GT Labs. Strength Lab is a separate session. Memberships can include both.
On the move

They still need the first steps to get there. Speed Lab works on that start.

Players and parents on the work they came in to do.
Coach Juan is an amazing coach. His way of building these kids up in the game of baseball is by far the best I've seen. His knowledge of the science of baseball is superb along with the other coaches of Grindtime Baseball Academy. As a parent I believe in him and my son does also. Thanks coach... #TRUSTDAPROCESS βΎβΎβΎ πͺπͺπͺ

Speed training is in Bellerose. Athletes come from Queens and Nassau County for a session about first steps, not another round of batting practice. Speed Lab is the small-group option on Wednesday. A private lesson can stay on the same movement if one player needs the whole hour.
Brooklyn players can book the same speed work. Spots in a lab are capped at 10, and Adonis Cepeda runs every lab. The session is for the first steps out of the box and on defense. You do not have to live in Bellerose to get on the schedule.
Check Wednesday, then decide if one lab or a membership fits.
