How Training Is Set Up
GrindTime Baseball Academy trains baseball players in Bellerose. You can book a private lesson, join a GT Lab, or use a monthly membership. Each choice stays on the skill you came to work on.
A private lesson is one player and one coach. A GT Lab is a small group on one skill. A membership puts labs and private lessons on the same month.
What a Session Includes
- A private lesson with Juan Torres or Adonis Cepeda.
- A GT Lab on hitting, glove work, speed, strength, or throwing.
- A membership when the player will train through the month.
Ask which session fits the player's age when you book. Lab age is confirmed at booking.
Private Lessons
A private lesson is one player. The work can be hitting, glove work, throwing, or the skill you book. Pitching stays one-on-one. There is no pitching lab.
Private baseball lessons are the place for a skill that needs the coach's full attention.
GT Labs
There are five GT Labs. You pick one. Coach Adonis Cepeda runs every lab. Each lab holds up to 10 athletes.
- Hitting: Tuesday and Friday at 5 PM.
- Glove Work: Wednesday and Thursday at 6 PM.
- Speed: Wednesday at 5 PM.
- Strength: Tuesday and Friday at 6 PM.
- Throwing: Thursday at 5 PM.
Throwing Lab is not a mound session. See the weekly clock on the GT Labs page before you book.
Who Coaches
Juan Torres is the owner and a private baseball coach.
Adonis Cepeda coaches private lessons and runs GT Labs.
Those are the two coaches. A private lesson is with one of them. Every lab is with Adonis.
Lessons and Labs
Private Lesson
Use a private lesson when one player needs one coach on one skill. Pitching is booked this way.
GT Lab
Use a lab when the player can work in a small group that stays on one skill for that session.
A membership is for a player who will use labs and private lessons in the same month.
How Often Players Come
Labs sit on a weekly clock. A private lesson is booked when you want that coach and that skill. A membership is the fit when the player will be here through the month, not for one visit.
There is no rule that every player must come the same number of days. Book the sessions you will use.
Work Between Sessions
The session is where the coach sees the swing, the glove, or the throw. Short practice between visits helps the player keep the same work. Bring questions to the next lesson or lab.
Is GrindTime a Fit
GrindTime is a fit when the player will show up and work on one skill at a time. Start with a private lesson or one lab. Move to a membership when the month should include both.
Mini Grinders is for ages 5 to 7. Training also goes through college. Ask about lab age when you book.
