Weather cuts the practice short
Rain and cold nights end team practice before anyone gets to the skill that needs the work. A lesson keeps that work on the calendar.
One-on-one with Juan Torres or Adonis Cepeda. You name the skill, and the session stays there.

Team practice has to cover the roster. A private lesson does not. The time goes to the skill that has to change before the next game, tryout, or travel weekend.
A swing that comes apart, a throw that sails, or a glove that is late shows up at a tryout whether anyone worked on it or not. Book the lesson before that player is back on the field.

The reasons families stop waiting on the next team practice.
Rain and cold nights end team practice before anyone gets to the skill that needs the work. A lesson keeps that work on the calendar.
A travel weekend is a lot of innings and very few reps for any one player. The lesson is that player's time.
Live swings and throws need more space than a backyard. The lesson is where those reps happen.
Spring tryouts and fall ball do not pause for a swing that is late. The work follows what this season is asking the player to do.
Pick the part of the game that needs the time. That is the whole visit.

What gets in the way

The lesson is booked for that swing. The rest of the roster is not in the session.

By appointment
During the season
School and travel take most of the week. What is left is a short window.
Use it on one skill, and leave with something the player can practice before the next game.
Notes from families who train at GrindTime.
Coach Juan is an amazing coach. His way of building these kids up in the game of baseball is by far the best I've seen. His knowledge of the science of baseball is superb along with the other coaches of Grindtime Baseball Academy. As a parent I believe in him and my son does also.
